Plan for a little extra time. We get to know you, your health and what you want from your smile before we recommend anything.
What to bring
A few things help us bill your insurance on the day and skip repeat X-rays.
On the Canadian Dental Care Plan? Bring your CDCP card and a government photo ID. How CDCP works →
- Your completed medical and dental history forms
- Your dental insurance details, so we can submit the claim for you
- Copies of any X-rays taken in the last year
- A signed privacy form. Everything you share stays confidential
What happens at your visit
Your first appointment is longer than a regular checkup, so nothing is rushed. Here’s the order things usually happen in.

We get to know you
Meet our team and tell us what you’d like from your visit: a checkup, a concern, or a change to your smile.

Review your history
We go through your medical and dental history together, including any medications and past treatment.

A full exam
Complete dental charting, including measuring the pockets around your teeth, plus an oral cancer screening.

Cleaning with a hygienist
One of our hygienists cleans your teeth and shows you anything to watch at home.

Your plan and next steps
We talk through what we found, your treatment options and costs, and book what’s next at a time that suits you.
